UN Declares Internet Access As A Human Right

According to a new declaration by the United Nation, access to the Internet will now be considered as a human right.

The new declaration came after the UN Human Rights council’s 17th session reached the conclusion that the “unique and transformative” way Internet has brought in since the past few years, now helps to a great extent in enabling individuals all across the globe to exercise their rights, as well as in bringing a far-reaching positive impact on the society as a whole.

“The Special Rapporteur emphasizes that there should be as little restriction as possible to the flow of information via the Internet, except in few, exceptional, and limited circumstances prescribed by international human rights law,” Frank La Rue, Rapporteur on the promotion and protection of the right to freedom of opinion and expression [PDF] said in a statement.

“He also stresses that the full guarantee of the right to freedom of expression must be the norm, and any limitation considered as an exception,” Mr. La Rue added.

He also appealed to the world governments to ensure the availability of access to the Internet at all costs, even during the most challenging times such as political unrests.

Ironically, it was only yesterday when reports surfaced about the Syrian government shutting down networks throughout the country in an attempt to prevent its citizen’s from accessing global news and information, especially those from the West.

This worldly 30 year old fighter is a CIA agent. She is also a single mother and her daughter, Lauren, is on her mind at all times.

I’ve played Street Fighter but I’ve never been that much familiar with her. Let me give some additional info ‘cause I don’t think you’ll get anything from the above description (thanks a lot, MVC3). She’s Crimson Viper. She wears a Battle Suit equipped weapons and goodies. The suit is remarkablr in the sense that it resembles an ordinary business suit (a showing cleavage with a tie in between is ordinary it seems).

The gloves have metal knuckles that can be electrically charged, creating visual arcs of electricity when enough power is supplied; these can stun or damage an opponent quite heavily at higher settings, which combined with Viper’s natural speed and agility pose an incredible danger to fighters of all skill and size. The boots hold jets inside the arc between the heel and sole, with a switch on the side of the boot activating the temporary jet propulsion. The boots are capable of granting the wearer a much greater jumping ability, though Viper frequently fires them up and uses them in a defensive kick, burning anyone within distance.

The easiest way is the hardest part.

As for my first post I really have nothing to say. I know, for most of us, this part is the most difficult to accomplish as we really have nothing to say, nothing to post. So sometimes we end up looking for photos or videos or quotes of just about anything to liberate us from the obligation of posting our very first, well, post.

Why megamumblr?

Because mumblr.tumblr.com is already taken (duh). So as themumblr.tumblr.com. And so are these guys: feelr, linkr, wreckr, clickr. In case you were wondering, yes, I’m in the same bandwagon as Tumblr and Flickr. Because I like it. The hell you care?

Why just now?

Because everyone else is here. This is basically just like Twitter (@pechak). Everything I want to say and post I’ve been doing it in Twitter (and Facebook). And now I want my posts to be organized. And I also want to spam my friend’s Facebook News Feed with Tumblr posts. Just kidding. But it would be really cool to have them taste revenge, don’t you think? /gg
